In the tiny forest...
... of mosses, you can often find these colourful Yellow Stagshorn fungi, Calocera viscosa, common but very pretty and easy to miss. We had a pleasant day out with a couple of naturalist friends, visiting another who lives in a very fine spot for fungus hunting in the Derwent Valley. Lots of fungi around, and we saw some splendid caterpillars and chrysalises and lots of very busy wood ants.
