Protocol 1B starts
Today we started the next phase of treatment.
First Alex had a blood test to see if his blood count was okay to start.
Much to my surprise it was. So today he is on a drip for 6 hours as a drug goes in. We're on the ward rather than outpatients but should be able to go home tonight. For the rest of the month we have daily oral chemo plus hospital visits 4 times a week to inject yet more chemotherapy.
Milo went back to school today and he was very excited to go! Plus the husband is collecting his new car later. €20 a month for comprehensive insurance which is good, but €400 per year road tax (and that is low! Our last private car was €1200 p.a.).
