A Different Festival
After a lazy dinner (freezer to oven to belly) and some TV I decided that I needed to get out. So I took my camera for a ride on the bike.
So glad I did. The sun was just going down and it was a lovely evening. I caught one of the local farmers harvesting the barley in this field. I've never seen a combine harvester up close before. Pretty efficient and impressive machines.
Check it out LARGE :-)
I couldn't resist some of the tracks and fields on the way back - so here's a few rejects.
> Reject 1: Wheat Tracks
> Reject 2: Field of Gold (probably my most photographed track/field!)
> Reject 3: Combine Harvester
> Reject 4: Harvesting (this was the blip runner up - did I choose the right one...?)
Friday tomorrow - going on a blip wander with some other Edinbugger blippers - if anyone fancies it - we're meeting at the East end of Castle Terrace at 12:30.

LOTD: Two links for you today! (1) Jan Berghuis's blip of a super anchor handling supply tug - a great shot and interesting too, not something you see every day and (2) A Blip on the Reidar's "Get out of the Way!" blip - a fab capture and focus/colours!
