Lost in Space
Started off the day in NASA at Houston and managed to see the current mission control which was a real treat. Also learned 2 facts, one is that currently the US pay Russia $20 million each time they need to send a launch up to the international space station, this is due to change in 2016 when they hope private companies will do this job for them instead. I also learned that Justin Bieber has been put on a waiting list to go on a Branson/Virgin private spaceflight thing....one question the guy at NASA is often asked when relaying this fact is whether it is possible to make this experience one-way. NASA was interesting and unexpectedly emotional at times.
Did a 3 hour journey to the final vacation stop of Austin, Texas and was so very pleased to see the bats flying from Congress Bridge at about 7:40pm tonight, pretty amazing experience ...look it up on You Tube if you are interested. I hope to make a video if possible one day.up to 1 and a half million bats live under Congress Bridge making it the largest urban bat population in one spot...
