I took a run out to Strumpshaw Fen again today (my 3rd visit in a month) on yet another search for the elusive Swallowtail butterfly. It was rather windy, so the butterflies generally were only prevalent in the more sheltered areas. Yet again, no sightings of the butterfly BUT at least there was 1 solitary Swallowtail caterpillar munching on a Milk parsley plant - a first for me. Eureka! I'm getting close to my aim now.

I may try to get back there again next weekend .....
