Ullswater, English Lakes

Off early this morning on a Club walking weekend. Travelled over the border to the Lake District, and walked from Dalmain House to Pooley Bridge. We then treated ourselves to a sail on the steamer on Ullswater, it was great, the lake looked dark and brooding and the scenery was just lovely.

We sailed from Pooley Bridge to Glenridding, where the coach picked us up and we then travelled to Leyland, near Preston to our hotel. Nice accommodation and a good dinner, a glass or two of wine to end a lovely day. And tomorrow walking in Yorkshire!!!!
