oh this ol city life sure brings a fella down

Made it to Ile aux Natttes after a long journey involving a night bus on super bendy roads, a bit of a panic cos we overslept and were gonna miss our next transport, a mini van taking us to the coast, a ferry to Sainte-Marie and then a pirogue to this beautiful paradisiacal island! There are no cars on Ile aux Nattes and not that many people either. We stayed in these beautiful wooden bungalows right on the beach and it was gorgeous going to bed at night with the sound of the waves right outside the door.

I was over the moon to see Helene after 18 months! We probably only spent something like 3 weeks in total with each other when we were travelling but there's something about our friendship that I find really special and I know that she will be someone who I will continue seeing even if we're in different parts of the world.
