Thankful

This shell is a memento from a holiday I spent in Greece three years ago. I stayed near to Sivota on the northern most part of the Greek mainland. A beautiful spot overlooking the sparkling emerald sea and forested islands. Large colourful butterflies flew in the air and tortoises grazed on the grass in the hotel garden. I spend many happy hours reading the Gerald Durrell trilogy and swimming in the sea. It seems a far cry from Scotland today. The wind has howled, the cloud remained grey and the air cool....but I do try to enjoy days like this, to let the wind blow in my face and invigorate me.
