Back home

Back home and it's a garden blip from me.

I wandered round and very little had changed or developed (OK - I know it's only just 8 days). No ladybirds, unfortunately. Two white butterflies visited briefly. One bloom on my new rose from David Austen Roses is giving up the ghost. There were a few apples (more than last year at least).

But a fly was in evidence so here he is.

Gatwick is a lovely airport but it is SO far on the other side of London. I'd forgotten how awful the M25 can be, even at midnight. The M1 seemed fast after that...... sleepy..... and Sparkie is sulking in front of the recorded episodes of Masterchef and the Liverpool v United game
