Taken in Kings Cross on my way to the wedding anniversary celebrations of a couple who have known my family since they befriended my grandparents, probably about fifty years ago. It was a surprise gathering of a lot of their friends, organised by theory two children, who have known my mum and aunt almost as long.
Despite having to leave quite early, I am so glad I went.

I got to see Roy and Val's joy at the gathering Kit and David put together, not to mention two granddaughters whom I hadn't seen since they were babies, and who have turned into such beautiful and charming young girls I could hardly believe my eyes, and one grandson I'd never even met before.

Spent some time with my cousin in the playground, and then reading to her, before reluctantly hopping back on a train before dark...
