Dad had his hip fixed up today and the op went very well, it was a massively anxious day waiting for news and I was glad my friends had arranged drinks to mark the end of summer, for the first time since Tuesday I could relax and I had the loveliest evening starting with a visit to Sarah and Greg and then dinner in the pub, we ventured out to the quayside until way after dark and Emilie and Matthew announced they are expecting a baby!!! seriously the best news all week!!! (though Luke had actually spotted them by the antenatal dept earlier in the week so I did very well keeping their secret and waiting for them to announce it!!!)

I blipped Matthew and Emilie on their gorgeous wedding day just over a year ago here, they will be brilliant parents!
