new life just breaking...

I have lived with this beautiful tree of mine for 15years. Over that time I have tried to identify it. My bro-in-law many years ago thought it was a Chinese Chestnut. I have now decided it isn't!!! It has large pale green leaves, lot larger than my hand, and in Autumn reasonably insignificant prickly cases with tiny chestnuts inside. I might go down to the gardens and try and identify it when leaves are out. This is a leaf bud and chestnut bud just burst. I thought it rather pretty. There is pollen everywhere. It doesn't flower as a chestnut normally does though. It doesn't turn red in autumn, just lovely yellows and shades of greens.
