High Place in Dolomites

The mountains were calling, so we all hiked up to the Bolzano Refuge for lunch from Alpe de Suisi.


Last year L et moi did this together and L said "the kids would like it" this year they came, they did and she said Daisy would like it! (no, nicht, non!!!).



Lower down it feels like walking through the Shires of the Hobbit and up here approaching 7500ft like the high ground of Lord of the Rings. A fantastic walk and fine food at the refuge.



As we did on walks over a decade and more ago we played I spy etc but now to Olympic standard and today involved altitude training - who brought these kids up?
