First day of spring

We awoke this morning at 4.30 am to a power cut, which of course meant that we couldn't milk the cows. The fault was just up the valley, however it took until 7.10am for the men to fix the fault and get the power connected again. So, we were late milking the cows this morning, as well as late feeding the calves. We got in for breakfast at 9.15am, so didn't do too bad for time.

It's the first day of spring today, and what a brilliant day it has been. Took lots of photos of the bees in the plum blossom this afternoon. It is s good to see the return of the bees now that the fruit trees are in flower.

As well as the first day of spring, it's also Father's Day. As a bit of a treat, we went out to lunch at the Red Barn. Farmerboy's dad also came. It was lovely to sit back and relax in the sun, and enjoy the company of family on this special day.
