A lovely afternoon spent at a friend's 60th birthday party. The weather was just perfect, the company was excellent, and I didn't drink too much wine - so a result all round! Rather than people buying presents, the birthday boy had requested everyone bring along a bottle of an unusual beer - he's a real real-ale fan. A great idea, and he now has 40 bottles to keep him going. His wife and children are off to New York for a few days on Monday, leaving him home alone in the house, so we're all convinced he's going to spend the whole time sloshed!
