Today we bought a new car. After looking at a very racy looking BMW 323 (13 years old) and a shagged out A3, we settled on a very boring practical Mitsubishi Colt. 2nd hand cars are expensive in NL (new ones are too!) and we only need one for school runs and a few trips to visit me & Alex in hospital.

The dealer knows us well already and gave us a fair deal.

This afternoon Milo and Alex's teachers came to see us. We wrote a letter to go home with the parents explaining Alex's illness and treatment. They were very kind.

Quite a good day really. We were all in quite a good mood and there were quite a few smiles.
