Feathers and Fluff

I was going to blip some ripening blackberries in honour of Seamus Heaney, whose poem 'Blackberry Picking is studied by hundreds, if not thousands of students across the country.

However, I changed my mind when I saw that this goldfinch capture had come out reasonably well. A whole flock of them were tearing thistle heads to pieces, twittering to each other the whole time.

This is quite cropped in from the original, but it is still probably worth a look in large.
