We're on a boat!

Sam and Orla - I think this pic captures the boat trip nicely! So lovely to see everyone together, sad that a few people weren't there. Anyway, happy (both early and belated) birthday, Sam!

For Sam's birthday he hired a canal boat for the day. This is quickly becoming a tradition - he did it last year too and it's been a chance to get all the Knighcoters together again for a day (or at least as many as can make it!). I think we're all hoping it'll stick!

Got a lift with Hellie and Chris from Orla (thanks!), headed to MK and got a taxi to the boat... ('Mary Jane').
Lovely day, as expected. The weather held out for the most part, except for a quick downpour while Chris was 'at the wheel', and a photo of him looking like a right captain in a storm.

And Charlie's mum made a truckload of cakes and things, so we spent the day eating, drinking Pimms, having a go at steering (eep!), stopping off at a pub along the way, and playing kemps... (I'm terrible at it).

Barbecue provided by Sam's amazing family in the evening, and eventually an outing to Vodka Revolution. It was revolutionary. And there was vodka. Thankfully (and surprisingly) not too hungover the next day!
