Chester-well you may look sheepish!

We were worried last week when Chester disappeared late at night while we were having a party. My husband and friends went out searching for him on the golf course at 2am but no luck.
We left the back door open and went to bed and thankfully he reappeared about 6am fine but exhausted.

We were so relieved -and suspected the reason was a local bitch in season !

3 nights later we had friends in for dinner, and the same thing happened. This time we weren't so worried and again left the door open for him.

And this time he came back again around the same time but was limping and exhausted.

I was so upset but tried not to panic. I sat with him all day while he slept, fed him a little and often, and he began to get up and walk a little. By evening the limp was gone so I took him for a very short walk.
And although he has got better each day- I feel he has had a fright and hasn't really been himself - until this morning. He's back to his old tricks and I'm so relieved !
