Sugarhouse Wynd

Youngest daughter Amy is home for the weekend, we picked her up from the bus station and whilst waiting I noticed this street name. I do love the unusual names in the old parts of town.

It was in 1770 that the sugar refining industry was in Dundee, surviving until 1826 when it moved to Greenock. The street name ensures the legacy will live on.
