Girls just wanna have fun

We had a lovely morning and lunchtime over at a friend's house in Shotley Bridge today. It's our first catch up for a while. She's just had her kitchen refitted after the washing machine leaked from the laundry room under the kitchen floor, and wow it's sooooo gorgeous! My two bigger girls loved having lunch with their friend at the kitchen island, sitting on stools. Arwen joined in too. Love this photo, such great poses from the girls! They had a really nice play together today too. Afterwards we had a look in the shops in Consett. The girls chose Halloween costumes (I know, I know - but it's probably their favourite time of year, or at least it rivals Christmas). Grace chose a beautiful 'vampirella' lacy dress. Ophelia has decided to dress as the grim reaper. She's always out there, that one! We did the weekly grocery shop at Morrisons and then headed home. However one if our tyres was quite flat so needed to pop into kwikfit who said that the front two tyres were also practically bald and needed replaced...but they couldn't do it as their systems were down. So had to get it done up in Hexham instead. Cost £98. Yikes. It's been an expensive day! A very good one though. Last proper day of the summer holidays for me. Back to work on Monday. It's been a brilliant six weeks!
