Apple Wars

This lovely Red Admiral was having a nice sunbathe on the apple when it was rudely interrupted. The flying thing in the photo (sorry it's very blurred but it was flying very fast ) was a large waspy, hornet-like thing and it flew right into the butterfly several times eventually dislodging it and chasing it away and then it didn't settle on the apple but started to do the same to another butterfly on the buddleia nearby - nasty creature!!
