The very fact that this little lovely let me close enough blip it meant it was probably on it's last legs....because I've never managed it before, they've always been just a speck in the distance before I got the lens cap off and set the camera to macro. Today's free gift is the little black beetle at the top left of the picture (a horde of whose buddies have recently invaded my front room, think they're using the hole where the cable TV comes into the house as a sort of reverse escape tunnel to get out of the wet!)
