die Qual der Wahl

Frau Merkel came to town - okay, to Fritzlar, but it's near enough.

It's election season here and so all the politicians are making big efforts to be seen outside Berlin and Bayern.
It was a really interesting experience; quite Americanised really - lots of pre-speech bands and cheering. Lots of placards (including this beauty) and a wide range of people; supporters and opposers of her politics and the majority who just came along to so that they can say they've seen 'Angie' in person.

I don't really have a huge range of opinions on German politics (I need to inform myself more) but I do have strong opinions on Frau Merkel's satorial choices: really woman, enough with the trouser suits! For those of you interested, she was wearing a sort of golden colour one!!
