Waiting room

What did we do in waiting rooms before the smartphone? Read old copies of magazines, especially Reader's Digest it seemed, stare at feet and ceilings, or, for the brave and the mad, try conversation.
Now we can loose ourselves in Twitter or Facebook or texting, or take a snap of the lady opposite using her phone...
