A Very Long Day

It is nearly 1:00 a.m. in Toronto, where we are sitting in the lounge, having a beer (Phil) and a glass of local Riesling (me), and waiting for the light meal we ordered to be served.

I took today's blip at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, where we enjoyed bistro salads at Wolfgang Puck's before our 1.5 hour flight to Toronto. As that flight taxied down the runway, however, a mechanical problem was detected and the plane had to turn around.

Long story short, we finally departed nearly three hours late, and then had to wait for a shuttle bus to our hotel. We've traveled about 14 hours today, and this is a back-blip -- and I think I might have a second glass of wine. Cheers!
