Sails Away!

The FFers were back shooting together today - Jamazen, GingerNan, Spikes2013 and myself - this time into the CBD, and starting with coffee - of course!

I was taken with this sculpture, on the corner of Lichfield St and High St, very near the site of this blip on July 23. The sails move in a random order, and today seemed to me to be celebrating that vibrancy is returning to the city, while all the rebuilding is continuing. I was fascinated with the clever design.

We visited a wonderful Photographer of the Year exhibition, staged by NZ Geographic - it's now on tour, assembled in containers and beneath a sail on the corner of Cashel and High Streets, Christchurch Central. It's worth a visit! We were given a free copy of Southern Exposure, produced by NZ Geographic, when we signed up for an annual subscription to NZ Geographic magazine.
