Oh crap! Dogsitting: Day 6

Mac is pouting. Notice his blankets pulled out of his crate and left in a heap, the throw rug turned up, the blinds all uneven and that sulky face he has on. Oh yeah, he was a bad boy today.

He was out twice already today when we were in the family room that looks out onto the yard and he spotted something. It could have been a deer, a groundhog or a squirrel. Perhaps even a cat. He started barking like crazy. I was watching my granddaughter and she had to go potty which as you can imagine is not something that can wait when you two years old and are first learning.

I heard Mac running back and forth between the front and back doors. All the while he was barking and barking. I came back down and he jumped up onto the kitchen window seat to look at that window and then onto the kitchen table!! I couldn't believe it. I looked outside and didn't see anything but he was still going crazy.

I tried distracting him with a toy but he wasn't interested. I had to get my shoes on and took my granddaughter into my room with me and she closed the door behind her. Well, I guess Mac was not happy about that. I came out to find a little 'surprise' from Mac in the living room. Ugh! I looked at him and didn't even say anything but he knew he was bad. He went right into his crate. My granddaughter who usually wants to 'help' clean everything in the house, informed me she wasn't helping clean that up. Haha.

I guess considering this was the sixth day of Mac being here, I should be grateful this was the first accident he has had. I think he was really angry with us ignoring his message of an invader in the yard. Probably closing the bedroom door was the straw that broke the camel's back. He was going to show us! Shortly after coming out of his crate he was pulling his blankets out and growling in disgust. Of course when it was time to eat, all was forgiven.
