The Segwun and the Wenonah II

Today, Edward and I decided to take a trip up north to Muskoka and Haliburton. We stopped in Gravenhurst to see the steamships on Lake Muskoka. The Segwun and Wenonah II were docked and getting ready for a cruise around the lake. The Royal Mail Ship Segwun was built in 1887 in Glasgow, Scotland and assembled in Gravenhurst, Ontario, Canada. The ship was originally a side paddlewheel steamer named the Nipissing II. She was re-launched in 1925 with her new Ojibwa name Segwun, meaning Springtime. Two beautiful ships. I look forward to a cruise in the future.
