The Tree

This is a well loved tree in my husband's family homestead. It doesn't have a name other than "The Tree". The whole neighborhood knows this house by "The Tree." It is a Cuban -Laurel that is over 60 years old and is at least 50 feet tall. I found an old photo of my husband back in the 1970's when he was a Football Star standing in front of this tree. The size of this tree now is amazing. Every grandchild (and now great-grandchildren) has climbed this tree, had their picture taken on it or by it, and enjoyed swinging in the swing that hung on its branches. We came over for a visit this evening and Moira ran straight to the tree. Hopefully it will a awhile before she can climb it!
