East by Kate

This odd thing adorns a wall near the office. The words are part of a mural that was advertising an exhibititon by an artist called Kate Downie. Originally it was on an end wall, but then someone put up the building on the right.

It's probably stayed the way it is because it was nobody's actual job to sort it out. But I like to think that perhaps someone just liked the way it looked, with the oddly poetic phrase East by Kate. It'd be a great album title.
