Autumnal

It's beginning to get more autumnal with every passing day. The wild roses along the old road are covered with hips. Anyone else remember Delrosa Rosehip Syrup? We were dosed up with it as kids, during the winter, to protect us from coughs and colds. I might try making it - there are lots of recipes on the web. Apparently during the 1940s and 50s children were paid 3d per lb for collecting them for the factory!

We were also given a malt extract called Virol, Syrup of Figs, Cod Liver Oil and Kaolin and Morphine on a regular basis! What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger!
