Scottish Air Ambulance
On our drive home today we got caught up with a road traffic accident. Driving round a bend north of Inveraray on the A 83 we met a car coming towards us on our side of the road. Next thing we knew it had swerved back to the opposite of the road where it literally took off and went right through the trees at speed landing on the shore. Fortunately there weren't any fatalities but all emergency services had to attend and it was quite something seeing them all at such close quarters. The ambulance crew made the decision that the passenger of the car would need to be air lifted and this blip shows where the helicopter had to land. It was such an impressive sight watching the skill of the pilot landing in such a small space. It's not the best of blips but I didn't want to go any closer and be in the way of all the professionals. Basically this blip is a tribute in my way to all the brilliant people who attended this today.
I've also updated backblips here
and here and here
That's me up to date after my holiday.
