Where I Grew Up......

... looking over to Bonawe in the mist tonight. You can see part of the Bonawe quarry where at one time more than 300 people were employed many years ago. Both my Grandfathers worked in the quarry, one on the cranes and the other as a stone mason.

This view was taken from Taynuilt and not that long ago there was a big fire that swept over the hill and down to near the houses. I don't think I have seen it looking greener now - isn't nature a wonderful thing!

We played as children in the water at the loch, on the rocks or up in the hills and only went home when we were hungry! How different life is now for children and not for the better.
