Play date in an awesome garden

We went to visit my old work friend today. I'd not seen her for ages and as she was having her grand children for the day it was the perfect opportunity to make it a play date.

Cath lives in the most amazing place. Her house faces a fields and fields, an abbey, right by the edge of a safari park. We crossed the road to feed the ducks and were met by the amazing sight of seers in the lake. I cannot believe I only had my phone camera with me as I usually take my camera everywhere.

After our walk and some lunch we played at her house for a while. My girls we very charmed by her grandsons. They played like a gang from Enid Blyton's famous five books all afternoon. In and out of the trees, with tea towels tied around their necks like capes with tree branches as swords.

The bath water was brown this evening and all their cuts and bruises revealed themselves. What a great outdoorsy day
