Girl, interrupted
So I woke up this morning after yet another disturbing dream and thought, "Screw it, the DIY can wait, I'm doing bugger all today". So I had breakfast and a nice coffee and then sat there for 10 minutes, tapping my fingers and toes...
After which I thought,"Screw it, the lounging can wait, I've got DIY to do!"
So I've cleaned the lounge carpet, re-caulked the bedroom windows, cut out the edges of the carpet and washed down the skirting ready for glossing tomorrow. I did try sanding down one of the windowsills with a view to painting it, but I could be there for weeks and I'll never get rid of the paint. So, I've decided to tile instead throughout the house!
Now, do I get plain white for each room so when I redecorate I won't have to change them, or do I go for funky patterned ones? Do I get big tiles and try my hand at cutting them, or get mosaic which (whilst being a bugger to grout) I can trim easily? Or I could have a big centre tile and mosaic around? Ohhhhh, the possibilities are endless!
More importantly, can I just tile on top of the existing wood?

I did have a bit of a sit outside in the last of the sunshine this evening - bought this windmill in The Range at the weekend because I just loved the colours.
