Views from High Street, Rishton.

I spent part of the day in Accrington and worked at One Planet as usual.
It was a day of mixed weathers and at one point I saw a beautiful full arc rainbow. When I returned home from shopping and put the lights on, there was a loud bang and all the lights went out.
This has never happened before in this house and it was a little surprising. I got some pretty candles out as it was already quite low light and cloudy.
Paul came home and we explained what had happened.
He went to The Range for some new fuse wire and a replacement light bulb and it felt good to get the lighting back. I confess to being dependent on Paul for all things to do with electrics and plumbing.
I went out in the early evening to take this blip of scenes from and near High Street bridge.
I was delighted to see the boat on the canal and the people at the cafe were taking the boat owner a tray of tea.
The name on the side of the boat said Break Away from Skipton.
I have included a view of the Prospects planted area on the side of High Street bridge, where there are still some pink Cosmos and Petunias making a good show of colour.
