I didn't manage a blip yesterday as the last part of my day was spent at A&E with Dad who had a dreadul fall and has badly broken his hip. the whole experience was just horrendous and a lot of my day today was messaging and calling family and friends to keep them up to date. Afte rvisiting Dad late afternoon I went back to Luke's for a snacky dinner (and some X Files season one randomly!) and then joined some of my WI friends for cake club! I've been meaning to go to this for ages and though I mostly felt like just curling up in bed it was good to be out having a distraction with some lovely cake and conversation.


a local party venue has offered us their space for free and it was so, so good, lovely table to sit around, wonderful decor, questionable party music and lots of fancy dress! This is Maddy posing on the throne at the end of the night! I got home and crashed straight into bed but with the news that dad's op would not go ahead the next day. waiting around now for more news.
