..."The River Scene"...

...Scrambling amongst the bushes, rocks and bark and possibly with few snakes nearby and almost ending up in the river quite a way below, I finally captured this scene of the old P.S. ROTHBURY - heading back to the Landing a mile or so away..

...Even though it is a very windy day, possibly a North wind which is always nasty, ('Children and Horses are always so Naughty on North wind days" - my Mother used to say)..we could hear the chugging of the old Rothbury, above the roar of the wind in the trees, and so it was a matter of finding a good spot through the undergrowth to capture it as it passed by..You see, this was a reasonably remote spot to take photos, but well, I like to do things like this if I can..

...There are lots of spots along the riverbank ofcourse, to take good captures of river scenes -the Pelicans were there as well, just a few, so it was a toss-up with the Pelican or the Riverboat today, and this one won out..and I thought it's far easier to capture a Pelican than it is to get tangled up in bushes and whatever and almost end up in a tangled heap at the bottom of the cliffs there, although others have done it quite easily by the look of a couple of beer bottles on the way down...
