Life with The Pinks

Spaceships, wipeouts and banana cake

Our plans for today were changed late last night; I wasn't sure I could manage a day at the farm as I wasn't 100%. So this morning instead, we went to the park. We met a few of Master Pinks friends there who have all grown loads over the summer.
After the park we headed home via the supermarket. Master Pink found a large-ish cardboard box to make his "ice-cream" van with and he set to work on that as soon as we got home. Miss Pink was happily building with Lego. I even got to drink a whole cup of tea!
We had lunch, master Pink opened his ice cream van for business. 2x mint chocolate chip, 1 strawberry and 1 double chocolate large cone with flake later, the ice cream van closed up shop to re-make ice creams!
Next we headed into the garden and the mini pinks had the paddling pool out again. They then had the idea to put the pool under the swing and pretend it was part of the wipeout course. It amused them for ages and the commentary was ace. Better than Richard Hammond! Then it turned into a flamingo pool, and the pool had been set up under a swing by the zookeepers! We had once accident when Miss Pink slipped and went under water and she didn't like it one bit. She gave up on the game after that but we did some chalking on the patio instead. And ... She drew her first flower that looks like a flower!
Outside fun had, we went back indoors and the mini pinks both made individual banana bread loaves. I made some carrot and courgette muffins and washed up the mountain of cake making stuff!!

Oh and I collected windfalls and made them into some crumble filling for tomorrow. I'm turning into my Gran!!
