Foundling

Rooting around in the attic the other day, I came across a bag containing some lacy table linen and this. I believe it came from my grandmother's family and is surely antique. I recall being offered the use of it when no. 1 son was born; but also a similar item from the other side of the family! We chose the tactful option of using neither, going for a modern, boy-friendly outfit.
Some of the lace/broderie anglaise was rotten and had already been much repaired, so I have done a restoration job and given it a good wash. Maybe someone will want to use it one day...
