Ladybower Reservoir from Great Tor (Bamford Edge)
In the Peak district, we do not have many large expanses of water, and where we do have them, they are not natural lakes. The weather brightened a little this afternoon and so I went to Great Tor above Bamford. The vista from here is over LadyBower Reservoir and Win Hill to the left (with the flat top).
Derwent Reservoir is just hidden and is where the Dambusters practiced their attack on the Ruhr dams in World War ll.
The light today was not brilliant and the haze remained all day. It was quite a hike up there so I decided to post the blip. I can always go again for another.
Thank you for all your comments on my rock rose and hoverfly!
