A late shot (with flash) of this piece of living land art.

A small leaning ash tree was surplus to our needs and it blocked my neighbour's view of Coney's Castle. It was in what has now become my sculpture garden... so rather than fell it completely I sculpted the bottom section of the stem (a la David Nash) and was not surprised to find it shooting profusely at its base, every year since.

So now it will be pruned annually.
