Drove over to the Suffolk coast today, Walberswick to be precise. It's been a long time since we've taken a picnic and spent any length of time just sitting and watching the world go by.

Packed my kindle and managed a bit of reading as well. After a couple of hours on the beach we wandered into the village and had a lovely cuppa and ice cream. Finished off with a wander to the ferry to watch the comings and goings of people enjoying a gloriously sunny day. Too much excitement for the two in my pic, they were snoozing along the river!

It was lovely watching the youngsters crabbing off the jetty and river bank, and the dads giving them encouragement. Its one of those places where there is little to spend your money on, yet so many have so much enjoyment for the price of a bit of bacon (bait) and a line. So many families enjoying the simple things in life, like their parents and grandparents before them.
