Suspended

I wanted to title this Barleymow.. which is a word I am familiar with but actually didnt really know its meaning.. it turns out it means a 'stack of barley' so I couldn't call it that since this is just a stalk of barley which I held up in order for the last rays of the sun to catch on it.

Having spent the last two weeks on beach walks I can safely say that today the air was full of harvest dust and that autumn is definitely here..just the first kisses of it can be seen in the hedgerow.. leaves turning red and the promise of the fruit harvest to come. It seems early for it.. or am I just wishing this wonderful summer would last longer?
