Natural Flowerpower

This is the centre of a beautiful blue flower. I'm afraid I don't know what kind it is. I think it's quite fascinating what goes on in the world of flowers...Lots of stamens and bits and bobs on show here. It is better enlarged. (The wind made it quite tricky to get it in focus, but as I am short on time this is it for today.)

I had lunch with an old friend today and spent a lovely afternoon with her and her family. It was great to catch up and just spend some time together. This evening I'm out with friends for supper so it's been a very enjoyable day.
