Ruddy fast and ruddy hard to catch on full zoom too!!!

Had a fabulous day out with my Mum - she treated me to the RSPB cruise on the River Witham out of Boston, into the Wash, into the River Welland and then back ..... we went out in thick sea fret/mist and came back in glorious sunshine - it was a great trip - thanks so much Mum (and for lunch too).

These Ruddy Turnstones were all around and not at all easy to photograph while flying ..... I think they are still in breeding plumage and the colours were beautiful - this image has had a severe crop and a slight sharpen, otherwise "as is".
