Speckled Wood

Managed to get this picture of a speckled wood butterfly while out with a walk this afternoon with Mrs TPV and a friend who is visiting us for a few days.

Although it was fairly quiet out and about there is always something to watch at the local country park. Just missed the horse with red ears, and couldn't get the swallows/swifts catching insects over the lake. Also missed the brown rodent which dived back into the lake when we disturbed it.

There is a lot more going on than the average person just out for a walk/jog spots.
Reminds me of the words of Jesus when he talks about people with ears who don't hear and eyes that don't see. Not because they are deaf or blind, but because they are too wrapped up in other things to notice life in all its fullness.
