Walking the tightrope!

We have a multi stemmed eucalyptus tree that is, according to one of us, in need of some help. Help is in the form of a rope attached to one of its boughs at one end and to the pergola at the other so that it can be 'taught' to grow the right way! In my opinion it looks like torture for the lovely tree but there are times when my opinion isn't wanted and this is a case in point! I'm not sure whose side this lovely dragonfly is on but he seems happy to perfect his tightrope walking skills on a glorious afternoon.
