Six Swans...
Five cygnets, one adult (the other adult is out of shot) on the River Avon, just before sunrise.
Weather forecast was an intriguing one, for a misty start. Me, hoping for a nice watery sunrise, rising from the mists took my tripod out an hour before stated sunrise along my local river Avon.
The sun has just come through a bank of cloud, here, but is behind the central clump of trees. Then, this group of 7 swans slowly came up river round the bend toward me. Very respectfully (and kindly) a dog walker right behind me whispered to his dogs to 'come on' as I dreaded barks or even worse, them jumping in and upsetting both swans and my pics, of course.
Took loads, camera on tripod, this had about the most birds in the frame, some slight movement due to the longish exposure but overall a pleasing picture.
Lens is Nikkor 16-85mm, with some sharpening, to make the swans stand out better.
Just nipped out to put in a repeat prescription and it is now cold and cloudy, the sun gone right in and the Cathedral Spire tip lost in the mist, though the forecast is for brightening up again later this afternoon. Have a great day, whatever you are doing and photographing...
